November 29, 2015 | Sundays and Day Dreams

I do love Sundays. This was a lazy one, too! The weather here in the south is ridiculously warm! It was in the 70's today. That is unusually warm! I went out in the woods after breakfast and we moved a ladder stand, chopped down some brush and checked all the cameras on the properties. It's fun to watch them do their thing. I did just that…I watched. This tree was in the middle of one of the green fields and it was so majestic standing there. It was begging to have it's picture made! There were handmade ladder rungs half way up and it made me wonder if there had once been a tree house up there. It would be a beautiful spot for a house, but it was pretty deep in those woods with little muddy trails leading to the field.

I moved the buggy around once, but for the most part, I day dreamed all morning about what my goals are for 2016. I love to plan and I love to dream. I have been trying to think of my one little word. It's something I like to use at the beginning of the year to determine what goals I want for my family and myself and now, this business that's continuously growing. I'm still pondering several, but in the meantime, i have a list a mile long for tomorrow and this upcoming week. At some point I HAVE TO get out my Christmas decorations! Tree is going up on Tuesday. It's time to holiday up this house!

This prism necklace has been my go to lately. We have been selling the heck out of them and I know it's because it's truly the wear with anything necklace. This one is the large. I probably sell 5:1 small to large, but the large is my favorite. I wear it on days that I don't want to think about what I'm wearing. If you've seen me in the last few months, you've seen this star sweatshirt. I LOVE IT!!! I can't tell you how much. I wear it a lot, so if you haven't seen me…..you'll recognize this shirt the next time ya do!

I started the cyber monday sale early tonight. Get that 20% off until midnight tomorrow! I promise to add more to the website all day tomorrow. There's slim pickens there right now and what's a sale if there's nothing to buy! So, check back and I hope you find one with your name on it!

November 16, 2015 | Montgomery

Monday mornings are usually the day I get my week together. You all know by now, I left my planner and computer at my Mom's last Thursday. I swear, it's like I couldn't do anything without those two in my hands.

Instead of hanging out at my kitchen table and enjoying my coffee while planning the week, I jumped in the car and drove to Montgomery. It's a little over an hour south of Birmingham. I met Heather from Welle Studio at the local news station to do a little segment on WSFA about Festiwelle coming up on Thursday. This event is going to be SO FUN! I will be the emcee and it's going to be a day of pampering and festivities!! I went by the store and dropped off some jewelry for them to sell and use in the show and got an idea of how the layout would be on Thursday. I get my makeup and hair done, go to a radio show, pick out a fabulous outfit and get to talk about fashion, gift ideas and the holidays! Can you think of anything more fun? I can't!

After I left Welle Studio, I headed downtown to the Southern Makers Pop up Shop. Again, a super cool event going on in Montgomery! This is right downtown and Cotton and Pine, Southern Makers and Kress on Dexter have come together to create a small venue to show what kind of shopping is to be expected in the Kress building when it's renovated. They have pulled together several Southern Makers from past events and it's going to be your one stop shop for Holiday Gift buying in downtown Montgomery. I seriously may buy all of my Christmas gifts Thursday and Friday!! Isn't this graphic to-die-for?

After racing home to pick up Emma and Madison from school, I found a box on the front porch with, you guessed it, my laptop and planner! Ahhhhhhhh, life is so good! I found a snack because I was starving! I sat down and just wrote out all the things. I felt so much better. I also have been changing out pictures on my website. Trying to plan for the week and at the same time for 2016. Wow, it's exhausting sometimes. I enjoy it, though. I'm looking forward to being at home all morning tomorrow.

I got a text with this picture from Sonoma, California. It's on one of the curbs in Sonoma Square. I love it and I love the fact that she shared it with my because she knew I would love it. Thanks, Jennye! xo I hope I'm always looking for it and always finding it!

November 12, 2015 | Giuliana

I went to bed last night thinking about my mom's kitchen and how I was going to take pictures of it so you could see and woke up to texts saying my sister was at the hospital in labor!! I wanted to be there so bad, but I was 3 1/2 hours away with other obligations for the day!

After a fun meeting with Jenny at Back Porch Mercantile and an amazing trunk show at the Mulberry House, I hopped in the car and drove as fast as I could to Birmingham! Safely, of course!

I would add a pic here, but I left my computer, planner and all of my clothes at my mom's.  Priorities were not packing, obviously! Thankfully, she will stick it in a box for me and I should have by Monday, but survival without computer and planner are unlikely.

You can go to my Instagram to see pics....because I blew it up with photos of the precious one today. I'll add it here when my life comes back in order!

Ahhhh, this day goes down in the books as AMAZING!!!
